The first virtual Aufzien conference
The online Aufzien conference, sponsored by NeuroDerm and others, was attended by an astounding number of over 1,000 participants, most of whom are people living with PD and their partners.
This was the first event of its kind in Israel. Much like the World Parkinson Congress, the Aufzien Conference included delegates and speakers from across the Parkinson’s Disease community, including researchers, physicians, industry representatives, start-up members, and people living with Parkinson’s. Varied lectures and workshops led by clinicians and therapists were held concurrently throughout the day.
Many of the experts who spoke at the conference mentioned NeuroDerm’s ongoing clinical trial and its numerous trial sites. Feedback was very positive, and despite not being held face-to-face, the conference was very impactful and inspiring.
